The Detroit Partnership seeks to unite the University of Michigan and Detroit through fulfilling community partnerships. As a multicultural organization, we strive to raise awareness, break stereotypes, and promote social justice through our service-learning programs.
SIgn up for a weekly service-learning program! Transportation is provided. You are expected to be committed to one semester of volunteering (roughly 10 sessions).
Find out more about Detroit Partnership at a mass meeting! All mass meetings are in 3460 Mason Hall from 6-7pm on: Monday 9/14, Tuesday 9/15, Wednesday 9/23, and Thursday 9/24.
Join the DP and the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation (DHDC) in preparing students to pass their GED!
Promote physical fitness and academic success by volunteering with Racquet Up Detroit!
Spend your Tuesday afternoons helping K-5 children improve their reading, writing, and math skills.
Act as mentor and tutor to help first-grade students realize their potential and aid teachers with large classes work to prevent students from falling through the cracks.
Serve as a crisis counselor in Detroit every Saturday!
Volunteer and help tutor K-8 grade students at the Dearborn Academy!
Students’ ages will range from kindergarten to fifth grade. Homework could be math, spelling, or just sitting with a child and helping them read.
Tutor eighth graders in English, math, and language arts in an after school program.
Assist in math and science education with children in grades 2 and 3.
