Outreach Director: Neha Vazzalwar

About Neha:

Neha is a senior studying Neuroscience. She is from Northbrook, Illinois. As Outreach Director, she is responsible for connecting the communities within the City of Detroit with the University of Michigan through collaborations with other student organizations.

Neha was first introduced to DP after a friend told her about being a volunteer. As a sophomore, she was a weekly volunteer at the Downtown Boxing Gym. She had such an amazing experience volunteering that she decided to get more involved with DP by joining the Outreach Team during her junior year.

She loves that DP has given her a platform to connect with students on campus who have similar service-learning oriented mindsets and a passion for enhancing engagement with Detroit communities. As Outreach Director, she is excited to pursue collaborations with other student organizations on campus, so that DP can create novel events/activities for volunteers to participate in.
