The Detroit Partnership Planning Team

If you’re interested in furthering your commitment to The Detroit Partnership, consider applying for the Planning Team! Being a part of the Detroit Partnership Planning Team is a great way to become more involved and learn more about Detroit.

The Planning Team is a group of approximately 50 students committed to coordinating service-learning opportunities for students in Detroit to cultivate positive with Detroit organizations, break down stereotypes and advocate for social justice. Being a part of the Planning Team is not only fun but rewarding. You will have opportunities to not only learn and partake in meaningful work in Detroit, but also to enjoy the city of Detroit through excursions such as visiting restaurants and museums.

However, while being apart of the planning team can be very enjoyable, there is also significant responsibility and commitment that is required. Our team is composed of 8 different teams: Major Events, Marketing, Internal, Finance, Outreach and four Community Teams: AYA (Adult and Young Adult) Programs, After-School Programs, and School Programs. Members are expected to be willing to commit a significant amount of time weekly, and to take this commitment seriously. On a weekly basis, members are expected to meet with their subteam previously listed, as well as the PT meetings on Wednesdays 8:30 pm at Trotter Multicultural Center.
